The time is almost here, ladies ‘n gents! 2018 is just a few hours away, and man oh man am I excited for what’s ahead. I’ll be wrapping up my college career, traveling to new and exciting places, and switching some things around here on That Vegan Bitch (stay tuned for that). 2017 may have had its ups and downs, but I am super grateful for each and every little bump. It’s what’s pushed me to where I am today, and where I’ll be going next.
One of the things I’ve learned most this year is how to really enjoy life and indulge. And no, I’m not talking about binging or eating to the point where I want to explode, I mean really savor and take in all the vegan goodness out in the world. When you eat well, you are well, and something so simple as an indulgent meal adds so much more to your life than you think.
We can’t just launch into the new year without a little reflecting, so here are my favorite spots from 2017 that I’ve had the absolute pleasure of visiting. Try not to drool all over the computer…..that’d be weird.
1.) My newly found obsession, Champs Diner in Brooklyn. Seriously, go here and feed your face.
3.) I scream, you scream, we all scream for Screamer’s Pizzeria in Brooklyn!!!
4.) Not a vegan restaurant, but some seriously good f*cking curry noodles at Republic located in Union Square in New York.
5.) Ughhh, the best god damn vegan cream cheese can be found at The Bean in New York. You won’t believe it’s vegan, either!
6.) Want a beautiful, delicious, healthy plate consisting of whole, plant-based foods? Head on over to The Sanctum Cafe in Orlando, and indulge in all of the goodness, minus the guilt.
7.) I’m not a big fan of sweets, but I find myself craving these doughnuts multiple times a day. Don’t believe me? Just checkout Valkyrie Doughnuts in Orlando and see for yourself.
9.) Bouncing back to Green Bar and Kitchen, grab yourself some Cocowhip for a nice, refreshing finish to your feast. It’s definitely necessary in the South Florida heat.
10.) Not a believer in karma? It’s all good, you can believe that Karma Cream in Gainesville, FL will keep you coming around for more and more.
11.) While you’re checking out the history of the state of Florida, make sure you hit up Prohibition Kitchen in St. Augustine for a seriously packed veggie burger and some of the crispiest fries I’ve ever put in my mouth. Oh, and don’t forget the Moscow Mule to go with it.
12.) The closest thing to vegan fast food I’ve had is at by CHLOE in New York. This chick just knows what you need, and what’ll make you feel good with her insanely savory dishes.
Happy New Year, bitches! Remember, eat well to be well! xx
